Facebook has exploded into what it is today. Almost everyone I come in contact with has one. The thing that is scary though is that if you do not monitor your privacy settings on Facebook, all of those people you know and many more that you don't can view everything that you put out there. what is nice though is that if you go into your privacy settings you can change all of that so that you can keep all of those people from viewing everything and just have it so your friends can. Let say that you have a friend that you no longer want on there, you can delete them as a friend without them even knowing or if need be, you can block them so that way they can not see a single thing of yours or even look you up.
My current privacy settings scared me. My profile was wide open for anyone and everyone to see. At first it didnt bother me because if someone wants me that bad they know where to find me, but it does scare me because i have stuff about my family on there and also pictures of my nieces and nephew. If anything ever happened to them it would kill me.
I have made all of the necessary procautions I feel that we necessary to protect me and my family on Facebook. I changed it so that if anyone wants to view my profile they had to friend request me and i had to aceept it before they could view anything but my profile picture.
