Social media measurements are a vital tool to be used with social media marketing. It is an important tool because the meaurements tell you wheter or not what you are doing is worth your time and money. In business you cant afford to update your twitter all the time because it is something that you like to do. You need an actual return on the investment that you are putting into that project. Another great way to use this tool is so that way you can track your audience and see what they are responding to and at what times. With this tool you can narrow to what you need. Instead of wasting your time flock shooting, you can hone in and make a larger impact with less effort and cost.
With my Facebook page it showed that i had a grand total of 2 likes. My reach consisted of 2 likes as well. This is hard to judge off of because the people that liked my page were the people that had to because they were my partner for that week. I feel though that if my business and was grown to an exceptable number that I wouldnt focus much of my attention on facebook. I feel that the audience that i would be reaching out to wouldn't give me the response I need for my business to invest in it.
With my Twitter page it is about the same story as my Facebook page. I only had four followers total on my twitter page although I did have a couple other retailers start to follow me but i think once they realized that i was a fake business they stopped following. With twitter I feel that my business wouldn't use this form of social media either. It was something that I don't feel i would get my money worth out of. Even with Hootsuite it was very difficult to keep up with and i feel would just be a waste of time.
With using social media i would use th esight cyfe.com to watch over and keep data on my social media websight. The getapp.com blog does nothing but rave about how great this sight is for any busisness. What is nice with this sight, with me being a small locla business I can still afford to use it. According to cyfe.com you can sign up for free but if you would like you can go premium for $19 a month or $14 a month with a year subscription. For my business this would be great and affordable. The sight not only keeps track of my data for me, it alsop stores it. With my data being stored I can go back and look at trends going on with my audience and see what works and what doesn't.
